Had a comment from a “Mike” around 11-12 June, which featured the following:
hopefully, you’ll be able to keep your site up to date. Many of the advice sites are out of date or just plain wrong. It’s very frustrating for a new user to type or copy and paste in a command only to get back “(no command “XXX” found)”.
I can empathasise with that. Not only will I be aspiring to currency and accuracy of information posted, but where it applies, I will tell The Viewers eg “This applies in an Ubuntu Terminal, but under Fedora (RPM-based) the equivalent is this”.
Thanks for the input Mike, and as a Tip to all: sometimes (not always) that “no command XXX found” can simply mean that the command does exist, but requires elevated privileges, meaning
sudo command "XXX" will work.
